By downloading, installing, or using RemindMe ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. About the App
RemindMe is a free medication reminder and health management application for Android. It helps users track medicine schedules, doctor visits, medical tests, and health adherence for themselves and their family members.
Medical Disclaimer: RemindMe is NOT a medical device, medical advice tool, or substitute for professional healthcare. It is a reminder and tracking tool only. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist for medical decisions. Do not rely solely on this app for critical medication management.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. If you are under 18, you should use the App under the supervision of a parent or guardian. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Your Account
Google Sign-In is optional and only required for Google Drive backup. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and Google account. RemindMe is not liable for unauthorized access to your data resulting from compromised device security.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose: personal medication management and health tracking. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access other users' data or interfere with the App's operation
- Redistribute, sell, or sublicense the App
5. Your Data
All medication data, family member profiles, and health records are stored locally on your device in an encrypted database. You own your data. We do not have access to your local data. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. While RemindMe offers Google Drive backup and file export features, we cannot guarantee against data loss due to device failure, app uninstallation, or other circumstances.
6. Pricing
RemindMe is provided free of charge with no ads, no in-app purchases, and no subscription fees. All features are available to all users at no cost. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in the future, but existing free features will remain free.
7. Notifications & Alarms
RemindMe uses Android's alarm system to deliver medication reminders. However, alarm delivery depends on your device's operating system, battery optimization settings, and manufacturer-specific power management. We cannot guarantee that every notification will be delivered on time on every device.
It is your responsibility to configure your device settings to allow RemindMe to send notifications reliably. This may include disabling battery optimization for the App and granting exact alarm permissions.
8. Caregiver Notifications
The caregiver notification feature sends alerts when a family member misses a dose. This feature depends on device connectivity and notification permissions. We do not guarantee delivery of caregiver notifications. Caregivers should not rely solely on this feature for critical medication oversight.
9. Limitation of Liability
RemindMe is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
In no event shall RemindMe, its developer, or contributors be liable for any:
- Missed doses or medication errors resulting from missed or delayed notifications
- Health complications arising from reliance on the App
- Data loss due to device failure, software bugs, or user error
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind
10. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is the intellectual property of RemindMe's developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
11. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including Google Sign-In, Google Drive, and Firebase. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, reliability, or practices of third-party services.
12. App Updates
We may release updates to improve functionality, fix bugs, or address security issues. While we recommend keeping the App updated, we do not guarantee backward compatibility of data across all versions. Major updates will include database migration support to preserve your data.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all local data. Google Drive backups will remain in your Drive until you manually delete them.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
